Remodeling Veteran Named Top New Franchise in the Nation

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of the Pikes Peak Region was presented with the distinguished National Rookie of the Year award at the company’s annual reunion conducted in Atlanta. “This is the highest national honor for a new franchisee,” said Doug Dwyer, president of DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen. “DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of the Pikes Peak Region performed phenomenally in its first year.” The title of National Rookie of the Year is presented annually to a DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen franchisee in their first year as a franchisee and is based on superior customer satisfaction, the commitment to the corporate Code of Values, and overall business development. Business owner, Mark Witte, has been involved in the remodeling industry for the past two decades and joined the DreamMaker franchise system in the fall of 2005. “Our employees aspire to deliver superior quality and service, earning loyal clients,” said Debra Witte, co-owner of DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen, Colorado Springs, Colorado. “When they succeed, the whole franchise succeeds. DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen, the company known for helping its customers transform their kitchens and bathrooms into the rooms of their dreams, held the conference June 24–27 for its franchisees. “Attending this conference presented a great opportunity for me to hear from the experts in the industry, as well as gain insight on ways to be successful. Being awarded the $1 Million Benchmark Award was an added benefit to the overall experience, and I am honored,” Mark Witte said.

The $1 Million Benchmark Award is a prestigious award presented to franchisees when they exceed $1 million in annual retail sales. The four-day event provided attendees with useful tips from knowledgeable speakers on ways to improve and expand their business. Throughout each day, sessions and panel discussions were held on time management, financial management and other business related topics. “The conference allowed our franchisees to share ideas and network while taking advantage of many different educational opportunities,” said Doug Dwyer, owner and president of DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen.

Overall, the conference left those in attendance with a better understanding of the steps to running a successful franchise, Dwyer added.
